Launch of Hitman 3 on Stadia with State Share
IO Interactive has officially confirmed that Hitman 3 will be launched on Google Stadia with State Share, a long-standing functionality for the cloud game platform. Google has promised the State Share feature since the launch of Google Stadia, but Hitman 3 will be the first game to offer it when it released on January 20th. Hitman 2 is available now for Xbox One, PS4, Google Stadia and PC.
When State Share will be launched later this month on Google Stadia, it will be activated on other platform titles, including existing Hitman titles. IO interactive designed the Hitman Games to use State Share to allow all the states of play saved to include the starting point of the mission at the beginning of the level, the objectives of the mission, the charge of the player (including the Weapon, equipment and clothing) and the difficulty of the mission.
Google Stadia players who play Hitman 3 using the State Share feature will be able to play game with weapons and facilities that they have not unlocked, which will give them an advantage over players on other plates -Forms. Since State Share feature is launched with Hitman 3, it will be interesting to see how many existing games on Google Stadia will benefit from this feature, and what future versions will also find ways to implement it. IO Interactive has officially confirmed that the first two Hitman games will benefit from the feature at the exit of Hitman 3.
